Description
The balsamic notes are really starting to open up here in the 2009 Lupicaia
The mouthfeel is fleshy and generous and there is plenty of backbone here to carry the wine forward throughout the years
The forward and quite supple lighter weight flavors possess a beguiling mouthfeel partially due to the refined tannins
wafting from the glass with notes of red berries
Generous wood is sufficiently prominent to all but overshadow the very ripe aromas of mocha
Camille Giroud, Meursault Vireuils Blanc Vintage:2017 The balsamic notes are reallyPretty and restrained aromas of acacia blossom, citrus and hazelnut along with a discreet spice hint. The succulent yet nicely detailed and vibrant medium weight flavors exude evident minerality on the youthfully austere, clean and refreshingly dry finale. This could use better depth but the potential for it is apparent.
