Philippe Pacalet, Pommard Vintage:2017 Stays sweet(from Les Trois Follots, Les Vaumuriens, Rugiens Hauts villages and La Vache). Ripe and very fresh aromas blend notes of red and dark pinot fruit with those of violet and cool earth. There is outstanding intensity to the rather refined medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere finish that also could use a bit more depth to achieve the upper end of my projected range.
