Certainly he was once attached to an armature via strings tied to the holes at his wrists so that he could perform acrobatic feats

The seller described them as cracker stamps, which I think could just as well mean small biscuits or cookies. Both very much used, with rich patinas. Dark wood: 3 7 8" x 3 4" x 11 16". Blond wood: 3 7 16x 5 8" x 9 16. Sold as a pair,
