Late 19th Century Windsor and Newton Nearly Untouched "Scholastic" Watercolors 1970s ephemera founded in Boston in 1863My first attraction to this watercolor set was for its perfection as an object, with the elongated, square cornered shape of the watercolor blocks, together with their crisp, apparent unused ness, just completely doing it for me aesthetically, in a manner akin to old paint swatch color cards and the like. This set also strikes me as perfectly embodying the transition to the modern the paint blocks cakes here are whole, and removable, as with 19th
