shedding any monolithic tones you might expect of a wine of this depth and persistence
Juicy and vinous
The 2000 La Dominique is a wine that I thoroughly enjoyed out of barrel but never tasted in bottle
The adaption of some of the Grange "formula" (for want of a better term) of winemaking seems to lend more of an Australian style to this wine
elegant and beautifully layered nose offers up notes of rose petal
Michel Lafarge, Meursault Blanc other_regions_italy shedding any monolithic tones you(from Vignes Blanches, Cargouillot and En Marcausse, all of which are near the Volnay border). There is a smoky component to the ripe aromas of citrus confit, hazelnut and acacia blossom. The succulent but solidly intense medium weight flavors also possess fine concentration and volume before concluding in an attractively textured, sappy and sneaky long finale. Lovely.
