though I think he wears his old age even better

19th c I believe

with three different potted varieties of orchid captured front and center

ROLLO, Beatifully Hand-Carved Antique Wooden Stamp woman in cape What to make of thisI find this really beautiful as an object and "Rollo." such an excellent work to have been carved someone's last name I presume, with the hand carved wooden stamp surely used to mark possessions, though I 'm not sure whether cloth (feed bags, say) or something else, perhaps many different things. I found it in Upstate NY near Albany, and would guess it had not travelled far. Wonderfully, deeply hand carved letters, and nice long handle, with the stamp
