dried fruits with a strong animal and damp-hay note

Torbreck, The Gask Vintage:2008 dried fruits with a strongThe Gask is a relatively new wine made since 2005 from 100% Shiraz sourced from a single vineyard in the Eden Valley planted in 1960. The 2008 The Gask gives a very deep garnet purple color and intense warm berry, kirsch, creme de cassis and wilted roses aromas plus a whiff of prunes. Very full bodied with plenty of ripe, rich fruit it has a nice backbone of crisp acid and medium level fine grained tannins supporting it through the long finish.
