A silver needle grade made only by plucking terminal buds which have a silver downy fuzz on the leaves. The tea cultivar is from the assamica subspecies, which makes this white tea vastly different in flavour over Chinese white teas. And yes, Adams Peak is expensive, it is four to six times the cost of other pedigree white teas. The leaves of this tea are thin needle like buds that
