His name was Glenn Robinson. In his first year playing for Purdue the "Big Dog" averaged 24 points and 9 rebounds a game earning him 1st team All Big Ten and 2nd team All American honors. The Boilermakers finished the regular season a respectable 18 9, ranked #22 in the final AP Poll and entered the tournament as the #9 seed in the
