Domaine Labet Cotes du Jura Poulsard Sur Charriere 2023 CS20230929 oyster-shell salinity and that nervySur Charriere is Domaine Labet's other single vineyard Poulsard, from a small west facing plot of clay and blue marl planted in 1969. Poulsard is the Jura's signature pale red, and Labet treats it with a featherlight touch: organic farming, native fermentation, gentle aging. The result is a model of the grape, round and fleshy yet delicate, with juicy red fruit and rare finesse. Pale in color but full of life, it's best served slightly chilled.
