In 2008, founder Trey Zoeller partnered with OCEARCH's Chris Fischer to place bourbon barrels aboard the MV OCEARCH research vessel. What began as a five barrel experiment became a signature process: barrels travel across five continents, crossing the equator four times. The constant ocean swells rock the barrels continuously, the salt air permeates the wood, and extreme temperature fluctuations accelerate extraction. The result
