Theses 6" pepper mills are fitted with a stainless steel two step mechanism which first cracks the peppercorns to release their natural oils and flavors, and then grinds the peppercorns to your chosen consistency. Fletchers Mill salt mills have an adjustable nylon crushing system. (Pepper mills can only be used for pepper and salt mills can only be used for salt.)
